Terms of Service
Last updated: 21 August 2026
1. Who we are
PetHealthCertificate ("we", "us") is an independent service that helps UK dog owners travelling in the European Union arrange the tapeworm treatment required before returning a dog to Great Britain. We are not affiliated with DEFRA, APHA, or any UK government body, and we do not issue Animal Health Certificates ourselves — that remains the treating vet's responsibility.
2. What the service includes
Submitting an enquiry through this site is free. Once you submit your details, we will try to identify a local vet able to carry out the tapeworm treatment within the window required for your return date, and come back to you with the vet's fee and an available appointment time. Nothing is booked and no payment is taken until you've seen and agreed to that price.
3. Payment
We do not take any payment through this site. If you choose to proceed once we've found a vet, payment for the vet's treatment is arranged separately and will be confirmed with you at that stage.
4. Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate travel dates, location, and dog/contact details.
- Attend the confirmed appointment on time, once one has been arranged.
- Check your dog's other entry requirements yourself (microchip, rabies vaccination, pet passport or Animal Health Certificate paperwork) — arranging the tapeworm treatment appointment is the specific service we provide.
5. Limitation of liability
We take reasonable care in selecting vets and confirming appointments, but we cannot guarantee a vet's own conduct, timing, record-keeping, or pricing. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the vet's own actions or fees.
6. Governing law
This service and these terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
